Paik said in 1969, “the real issue implied in Art and Technology is not to make another scientific toy, but how to humanize the technology […]. By using TV as bra […] the most intimate belonging of [a] human being, we will […] stimulate [the viewers’] phantasy to look for the new, imaginative and humanistic ways of using our technology.” Moorman usually wore TV Bra while playing a traditional cello, as the monitors displayed live TV, recorded tapes or the video feed from a closed-circuit camera. In some versions, images were distorted by converting the sounds picked up by a microphone.
