Following Paik and Moorman’s Moorman's performance of Opera Sextronique in 1967, Moorman was arrested and charged for “indecent exposure.” Journalists voiced support for Moorman and disapproved of the New York Police’s response to the situation.

The following year, Paik and Moorman held their Mixed Media Opera at New York’s Town Hall to cover their legal expenses. The front of the flyer features a collage by Jim McWilliams which brings together photographs and works by Eustache Le Sueur, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Aubrey Beardsley and Paik. The back of the flyer displays a collage of press clippings written in response to Moorman’s arrest and trial.
