Biography

Graham Hallett, Peter Hardy and Richard Maude are practicing artists based in Australia. They were attending the Alexander Mackie College of Advanced Education art school when Nam June Paik and Charlotte Moorman visited Australia in 1976. Michael Waite, who interviews them, is an arts researcher and educator based in Sydney.

In 1976, Nam June Paik and Charlotte Moorman were invited to visit Australia and create Kaldor Art Project No. 5 by John Kaldor. Through this, three young art students—Graham Hallett, Peter Hardy and Richard Maude—got to spend one incredible month with Paik and Moorman. Now, watch Michael Waite from Kaldor Public Art Projects interview Graham, Peter and Richard about what it was like to witness Paik and Moorman work, document their performances, and even travel with them to the Solomon Islands.
